This tutorial is all about using different distort tool in Photoshop series. When you use these tools, you are able to create some awesome pictures and the add to your desktop background.
Tools we are going to use
- Liquefy
- Ripple
- Shear
- Twirl
- Wave
- Sketch chrome
- Wind
- Gaussian blur
The program is going to be Photoshop Elements 7 so CS3-> versions should support this tutorial.
Work
First open your photoshp, make a new file, I used size 500px X 500px and background white. When you have created the file, add black backgound color.

Second, go to filter,render and add lens flare.

Third, go to filter, Sketch and select chrome. You have play with this a little to get best result. Try and err is the best solution in this part.

Fourth, we are going to colorize this, go enhance, select adjust color and select adjust hue/saturation.

Fifth, copy your layer 6 times. We are going to add every time different filter to each layer. Now select the top layer and use liquify.

Sixth, use twirl. We are going to make same effect later.

Seventh, use wave.

Eight, use shear.

Ninth, use ripple

Tenth, use twirl.

Eleventh, select all copies and merge them down. Then make another copy and then add wind effect to all sides. Then use Gaussian blur (0,5-2,5) and make the layer linear dodge (ad)
