Icy-text

In this tutorial I’m going to show how is possible to create cool icy-effect to your text. Friend of mine introduced this to me and I add something more there to make it more cooler.

What you need

You need Photoshop or some other image manipulator, that has same or some like same atributes that Photoshop has. I make this using Photoshop Elements 7.

Work

First open your photoshp, make a new file, I used size 500px X 500px and background white. When you have created the file, add black backgound color.

1.

1.

Second, add your text. It should be more heacy than I used, but the effeckt should be the same.

2.

2.

Third, simplify your text layer making it normal layer.

3.

3.

Fourth, select your text layer. Press ctl on the layer to select the text (NOTE! you can also select the every text element seperetly if this wont work). Then go to filter, blur, gausian blur and select blur to 3,5-8,5.

4.

4.

Fifth, flatten image.

5.

5.

Sixth, go to filter, styles and solarize.

6.

6.

Seventh, go to enchance, adjust lightning and select levels. Press auto to make auto level choice.

7.

7.

Eight, go to filter, select styles and use wind. You should use this to 1-3 times, depending how much ic-you want to make. I recommend using first only one time. Then you have to this every corner, so you have rotate four time the image and use wind every time. When you are where you started go to step nine.

8.

8.

Ninth, go to filter, select styles, select glowing edges. This opens you a new window and now you are good to go. Choose everything yourself, because there are no right or wrong selection. Everything is up to you.

9.

9.

Tenth, go to enhance, select adjust color and select adjust hue/saturation.

10.

10.

Eleventh, copy the background. Then select new layer to color dodge and opacity to 50%.
